State of the art practices
- SHBC uses proprietary stitching pins with patented hook threads to replace the crack itself. As the pins are torqued, a radial drawing force is created by pulling the two sides of the joint together. The sealing mechanism of the pin is complex, with many metal-to-metal contact surfaces.
- Locks made of high strength 4130 steel add additional strength to repairs.
