The Alessa Industrial Company was founded by Hamad Abdullah Alessa in 1935. Today Alessa group is known as the Alessa Industries Company . Alessa is an integrated group in the business. It include distributing appliances, electronics and manufacturing refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and air handling units, as well as contracting and installation of personnel and commercial air conditioners and air handling units. The international department in Alessa supplies the Middle East and Africa markets with a full range of air conditioners and other products, such as chest freezers, refrigerators. AIC has exclusive brand distributorships and manufacturing brand under licence, marketing, service divisions and R&D.
Currently AIC includes 2 Strategic Business Units; a trading Company, Hamad A. Alessa & Sons Co. (HAASCO), and a manufacturing complex, Alessa for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Co. (ARAC). At the corporate level, apart from these BUs, AIC has a corporate office that includes Support Divisions of Finance, Administration & HR, IT, and performance management office.

The beginning and blessed start:
In 1975 was the launching of the national manufacturing project of air-conditioners in alliance and support of a U.S. company and Alessa industries started through a small factory in Riyadh.
In 1976 Production had begun under the technical support of Gibson -USA to produce Air Conditioners (Gibson).
Although the factory had faced many difficulties after short period of operation, after several attempts we had successfully accomplished designs which won the appreciation from Gibson U.S., which had given us the green light to start again.
During this period, the company has gained experience and professionalism that has enabled developing, and ownership of its technology for the production of air conditioners ,refrigerators and desert coolers and that was synchronizing with the launch of the first development plan in the kingdom, where the focus was on encouraging the industrial sector and transfer of modern technologies to the Kingdom.
Plant started production in 1986, a capacity of 50,000 air conditioner per year jumping in production capacity year after another until it had reached last year to a production capacity of more than 1,000 , 000 air conditioners, which enabled us to access to numerous international markets , reached around 70 markets all over the world.
