It all started when a group of five prominent Kuwaiti businessmen signed an agreement with MK Electric Limited of the UK to establish a joint venture for the manufacturing and regional supply of MK Wiring Devices. Since then, KEC and MK have become synonymous with quality electrical wiring devices, and KEC has emerged as a market leader in Kuwait.
Today, KEC is headquartered in Ahmadi and features three showrooms and offices in Kuwait City, as well as a network of distributors nationwide. The company is a private partnership business, with 100% Kuwaiti shareholding that is divided equally between five prominent local Kuwaiti partners, who have held several prominent positions in the Kuwaiti community.
