The Iranian Embassy in the State of Kuwait held a Ghabga on the occasion of Ramadan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. During his speech, the Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Totonji, conveyed prayers for divine acceptance of fasting and prayers, particularly as the holy month of Ramadan entered its final ten days, adding “The significance of Laylat al-Qadr and the blessings bestowed upon International Quds Day, declared by the late Imam Khomeini underscored the importance of this day as a moment to remember and advocate for the oppressed worldwide, especially emphasizing solidarity with the people of occupied Palestine.”
He stressed that the Zionist entity’s continuation of committing genocide against our brothers in Gaza and imposing famine and siege on women and children threatens a humanitarian tragedy that cannot be tolerated. Ambassador stated “What is happening today is a continuation of a bloody series that began seventy-six years ago. Every day we witness more killing and destruction of the people of Palestine, where it exceeded 31,000 Palestinian martyrs within five months, in addition to the destruction of many hospitals, religious sites, and schools, as well as displacing people while the world watches and the international community remains silent.”
He emphasized the significance of observing International Jerusalem Day as an opportunity to demonstrate solidarity with Gaza, underscoring the importance of condemning the crimes committed by the Zionists, and urged international forums to offer support to the oppressed Palestinian people. The Iranian ambassador highlighted the need for global unity in addressing the injustices faced in Palestine, advocating for their rights, and holding accountable those responsible for their suffering.
At the end of the event, the ambassador praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti government and its honorable positions to relieve the Palestinians through the air bridge sending tens of tons of food and medicine, based on the high directives of the political leadership.
