Kuwait TV, Radio win awards at Gulf event

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and Assistant Undersecretary of Media Planning and Knowledge Development at the Ministry, Adel Al-Mashaan, said that Kuwait TV and Radio won awards at the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in a ceremony in Bahrain. Al-Mashaan told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that awards reflect the attention paid by the Ministry’s leadership to support creative ideas and hardworking people, giving them the opportunity to work, accomplish, and do their best through high-quality productions at the intellectual, artistic, and cultural level.

He pointed out that the youths of Kuwait have a high level of creativity, innovation, and culture, which reflect these great efforts. He wished them continued success and more achievements as he conveyed his congratulations to the Minister of Information and Culture, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and the Kuwaiti leadership.

He said that these awards should be an incentive for them to continue working to achieve more and greater successes in the future. The radio and television sectors of the Ministry of Information received 12 awards at the closing ceremony of the 16th Gulf Radio and Television Festival in the Bahraini capital, Manama. This participation is the most rewarding for Kuwait through its participation in the previous sessions.

Bahrain hosted the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in its 16th session, and the ceremony was organized under the auspices of the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports of Bahrain, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad, and organized by the Bahraini Ministry of Information in cooperation with Gulf radio and television. The first edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival was held in Kuwait in 1980.
